Hey!!! I am at Academy, and so is Katie, Patty, Jason, and Peter!!! It's been fun seeing them all again. I definitely have been thinking about the old crew. Just wanted to say hey.

How the heck do you have internet access at Academy? We sure didn't. They locked us in tiny cells, fed us scraps of moldy bread, and shouted City Year aphorisms at us through the bars. Like this: "Positive can-do attitude!" (pelt with moldy bread) "Spirit, Discipline, Purpose, and Pride!" (pelt with more moldy bread) "Be all that you can be!" "Cleanliness is next to Godliness!"
Honestly, you guys, it has only been a month and a half, and I can barely remember any City Year aphorisms. All the better, I guess.
Sorry you had a bad Academy experience. We had a pretty good time. This year's theme was sustainability, and they SAILed a lot of things. It got to be a bit much, but overall a good time. And they must have changed food providers, cause there was no moldy bread ;)

oh teej, don't you remember, academy was actually kinda fun... there was some card game that we played during which I believe one important rule was to curse, loudly... corrie screamed bloody murder outside... and danielle had to wake me up roughly every odd second... those were the days...
